You do not need to have a license to have a tryout shoot under supervision.
All try out visitors must also
-
- Read the try out information
- Print and sign the declaration form
- Contact Us to confirm availability.
Email a signed declaration form to Werribee Rifle Club or bring the printout with you on the day.
This declaration form is acceptance that you have reviewed, understand and are willing to comply to our Range Standing Orders and Code of Conduct to the best of your ability.
Bringing your own rifle
If you wish to bring your own centre fire rifle, make sure it is unloaded and the bolt and magazine is removed. If you have a safety flag, please insert it into the action.
If you are unable to demonstrate a 100 yard of 100 metre zero, we will require you to zero your rifle at 25 yards, followed by either 100 yards or 300 yards. All rifle zeroing is conducted between 9am and 10am and a range officer must be in attendance.
Bringing children
We are a family club and kids are welcome. Juniors 14 years old and up can shoot. Younger ages can attend as observers only. Your children are your responsibility and must be supervised at all times.
Ear Protection
With up to 6 shooters firing at the same time, it can get very loud on the firing line.
Don’t forget to bring your favourite ear protection.
Don’t have any yet? No problem we have a loan set for you.
All people shooting at and observing near the firing line will need their own ear protection.
Members can advise on purchasing your own in the future and what has worked for them.
